The emerging Teal concept was coined in the book Reinventing Organisations by Frédéric Laloux in 2014. Its concepts were constructed from research into more than 50 existing real-world organisations during the early 2000s that were exhibiting new, un-reported styles of organisation. In the 2010s Budapesti Ruin bars were all the rage with young local Hungarians enjoying the art, styles and post-apocalyptic warrens of places like Szimpla Kert.
